Afena M. Walker, 65, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Afena spent her life as a housewife. She was a member of Margaret Mary's Cancer Center in Batesville support group. The support group and friends she had there were very important to her. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Born on March 18, 1954 in Anton, Texas, Afena was the daughter of Vollie Lee and Eileen Dorothy John Stokes. She married Dennis Walker in August of 1973, and he survives.
Other survivors include children, Jayson Walker, Angela (Richard) Costa, and Heather Walker; grandchildren, Amya Costa, Christian Costa, Emily Walker, and Jackson Walker; and sisters, Sharon Stokes and Jackie (George) Fultz.
Afena is preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation is planned. A private memorial service will be at a later date.
