Alva D. Nolting's Obituary
Alva D. Nolting, 97, of Columbus passed away Wednesday March 19, 2008 at 2:25 pm at Hospice of South Central Indiana.
He was a farmer in Shelby County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hope.
The funeral will be Sat. March 22 at 10:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5 - 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Born October 27, 1910 in Columbus, IN Mr. Nolting was the son of George and Carrie Taylor Nolting. He married Katheryn I. Newton on September 11, 1932 and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include; a daughter, LuAnn(Carl) Harlow of Columbus; a son, Jack(Sandra)Nolting of Columbus; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Mr. Nolting was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Dore, and Ebert Nolting and a sister, Amy Manley.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
