Alvin E. "Shakey" Howard, 60 of Columbus died Saturday January 15, 2011
at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He was self employed as a Scrap Dealer.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope
with Rev. Calvin Vass officiating. Calling will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 at the funeral
home. Cremation is planned after the service. Memorials may be donated to a memorial fund for Shakey through the funeral
home.
Born on August 7, 1950 in Columbus, Shakey was the son of Donald E. and Joan K.
Miller Howard. He married Sandra Faye Erwin and she survives in Columbus.
Other survivors include; a daughter, Tabitha Ann Howard (Roger Miller Jr.) of
Columbus; a son, Johnny (Tracy) Howard of Columbus; grandchildren, Troy Howard
of Seymour and Connor and Brandon Miller of Columbus; brothers, Larry Dale Howard Sr.
of Garden City, Gregory (Beverly) Howard of Grammer and Timothy Ray (Debbie)
Howard of Elizabethtown.
Shakey was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allen Lee Howard.
