Anna E. Hancher, 89 of Elizabethtown passed away
Wednesday April 16, 2014 at Schneck Memorial Hospital
in Seymour.
She loved flea marketing and operated her own flea
market booth for years.
She was a Lady of the Moose Lodge and a member
of the American Legion. She enjoyed going to garage
sales, playing cards and visiting Las Vegas and other
places to play
casino games.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at
Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Jerry Day
Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00
to 8:00 p.m. and Wed. from 10:00 a.m. until service
time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland
Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the donor's
choice of charity.
Born November 2, 1924, Anna was the daughter of
Joseph and Eva Graham Wright. She married Edwin
Earl "Rocky" Drake in 1945 and he preceded her in
death. She then married Robert Lee Hancher, Sr. in
November of 1950 and he preceded her in death in
October of 1984.
Survivors include; daughters, Althea (Pete) Jones
of Elizabethtown, Betty (Jerry) Bell of Brown County
and Lila (Eric) Wedan of Brown County; a step son,
Robert Lee Hancher, Jr. of Florida; grandchildren,
Misty (Scott) Sampson of Brown County, Amber
Hancher of Elizabethtown and Shannon (Rob) Grimes
of Muncie; a great granddaughter, Emily Grimes of
Muncie; siblings Joe Wright of Shelbyville, Evelyn
Martin of Columbus, Deana Giles of Letts and
Jason Wright of Letts.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; two
husbands; sons, David lee, Monty and Ronnie Hancher;
one granddaughter, Anna Renae; a daughter-in-
law, Raye Hancher and five brothers.
