Obituary

Barbara L. Hobbs, 84, of Greensburg passed away October 11, 2021 in Greensburg.

Born June 30, 1937 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Sidney and Bertha Brooks Lawson.  She married Charles R. Hobbs on October 4, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2007.

Barbara attended Greensburg Christian Church.

She enjoyed sewing, coloring, cooking, baking, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

She had previously been employed as a custodian at South Decatur High School.

Barbara is survived by children, Charlie (Irene) Hobbs of Westport, Susan (Bob) Weston of Greensburg, Leslie (Kris) Hobbs of Greensburg, Mikie (Carrie) Hobbs of Rushville, Elvie (Carla) Hobbs of Greensburg, Ronnie Hobbs of Westport, Freddie (Carol) Hobbs of Westport, Jeffie (Debbie) Hobbs of Westport and Martie (Heather) Hobbs of Gulf Port, MS; 45 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Trudie Huber of McKee, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral for Barbara will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.  It will be officiated by Pastor Scott Sharp.  Visitation will be Friday from noon to 2pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at Mt. Aerie Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17 th St., Columbus, IN 47202.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steve Hobbs; sister, Lois Stewart and brother, Jimmy Lawson.
