Bernice Lenora Hull, 83, of Columbus, formerly of Hope, passed
away Saturday, November 7, 2015. The daughter of Jennie Mabel
(Jayne) and Ora George Andrews, she was born in St Louis
Crossing on August 24, 1932. She married Gene Hull in Guilford,
Indiana, on July 25, 1959 and they celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary in 2009 prior to his death in 2010.

A member of St George Lutheran Church for the past ten years,
she was a lifelong worker for Christ, singing in the choir, teaching
Sunday School, and serving on numerous committees. She was an
ace euchre player, and loved crossword puzzles, reading, and being
outdoors. She was the first woman on the Flat Rock Haw Creek
school board, and was a volunteer for Reach for Recovery and
Columbus Regional Hospital. She had a successful career in
bookkeeping working for Union Starch, Dr. John D. Harker, the
Heritage Fund, and the Sprague Company.

Her legacy is her devotion to her family. From preparing
delicious meals, to picking just the right gifts, to trimming
the tree with the grandchildren, to Skipbo, Phase 10 and
Rummikub competitions, she made every holiday special.
She shared her love of the beach with her family on trips
to Myrtle Beach.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral
Home in Hope with Rev. Jerry
Castleman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from5 to 8 p.m.
and Wednesday from 9 until
service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian
Cemetery.

She is survived by daughters Cynthia (Floyd) Rutan of Brentwood TN,
Jennie (Charlie) Smith of Scottsdale AZ, and Laura Hurt of Columbus IN;
grandchildren Jarrod (Kristy) Rutan of Columbus IN, Jessica (Joshua)
Hendricks of St, Louis MO, Kathryn (Craig) McMillen of Scottsdale AZ,
Adam Rutan of Chicago IL, Joseph Hull of Erlanger KY, and Trevor Hull
of Independence KY; great-granchildren Tori (Jonathan) Vailes of
Columbus IN, Logan Rutan of Indianapolis IN, Emma Hull of Nashville TN,
and Stella, Graham and Mia Hendricks of St. Louis MO; siblings Howard
(Maribell) Andrews, Helen (Norman) Wallace, and Maxine Bumbalough
all of Columbus IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Frank Hull;
brothers, Homer Dale Andrews and James F. Andrews; and sister, Julia
Cook, .
