Bettie Dian Mitchner West, 80, of Hope, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Before retirement, Bettie was a hairdresser at the salon, A New Look. She was a member of Chapel of the Good Shepherd.
She enjoyed making flower arrangements and crocheting.
Born on March 17, 1938 in Columbus, Bettie was the daughter of Charles and Frances Mae Pittman Mitchner. She married Don "Curly" West on August 30, 1958. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2015.
Survivors include daughters, Rhonda Brown of Columbus and Melinda Shepherd of Hope; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy George of North Vernon.
Bettie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Gary Mitchner; and her daughter, Brenda Smith.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Shaw officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
