Betty Patton Leonard, 72 of Columbus passed away Saturday
at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Before retiring she was a nurse's aide at Green Tree Assisted
Living Facility.
She was a member of Faith Chapel.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed
the outdoors.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman
Funeral Home in Hope with David Bragg officiating. Visitation will
be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until service
time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Faith Chapel.
Born February 19, 1942 in Bartholomew County, Betty was the
daughter of Melvin and Doris White Roberts. She married David
Leonard June 20, 1975.
Survivors include her husband David of Columbus; children,
Charles (Anita) Patton of Scipio, Carolyn (Lynn) Crussel of Westport,
Jane (Mike) Webb of Seymour, Rebecca (Damon) Phillips of Freetown
and David (Renae) Leonard of Columbus; eight grandchildren; three
great- grandchildren; siblings, Carl (Louise) Roberts of Columbus,
Robert Roberts of Franklin and Ethel (C.C.) Rooks of Freetown.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dale and
Donald Roberts; a sister, Leona Petro; a grandson Travis Leonard and
a great-grandchild Alayna Wilson.
