Betty L. Moore, 80, of Hope, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Betty spent her life as a homemaker. She had previously attended Wesley Chapel. She enjoyed doing puzzles, drawing pictures, and doing word search. She also loved to cook.

Born on January 10, 1938 in Columbus, Betty was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Locker Garrison. She married Francis Moore on July 4, 1959, and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2015.

Survivors include children, Allen Moore of Columbus, William Henry Moore of Hope, Becky Moore of Columbus, and Peggy Moore of Hope; brothers, Richard Garrison of Columbus and Robert Garrison of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Lee Moore; brother, Donald Garrison; and half-sister, June Cox.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 2 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Sarah Bartlett officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
