Obituary

Betty Louise Pence, 83 of Hope passed away Tuesday
December 17, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana
Inpatient Facility.
She was a member of the Old Union United Church of Christ
where she was in the Ladies Aide and was the organist for over
30 years. She loved crocheting, knitting, quilting and cooking.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m . at the Old Union United
Church of Christ with Pastor Kirby Rupp officiating. Visitation will
be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m . at Norman Funeral Home in Hope and
on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m . at the church. Burial will be at
Old Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Old Union United
Church of Christ Ladies Aide, Gideons Bibles or Our Hospice of
South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Born December 28, 1929 Mrs. Pence was the daughter of Isaac and
Trula McGuire Clark. She married John A. Pence December 6, 1949
in Edinburgh.
Survivors include her husband of Hope; sons, John D.(Ann) Pence
of Hope and Jim(Bev) Pence of Hope; grandchildren, Sarah(Justin)
Wagler of Morgantown, Rachel Pence of Hope, Missy(Andy) Dempsey
of Hope, Amy(Kyle) Shipp of Whiteland, Jason and Kevan Pence both
of Hope; great grandchildren, Emma Wagler, Ava and Adyn Dempsey
and Braiden Shipp; sisters, Lucille Hedman of Shelbyville and Ola
Schneider of Columbus.
Mrs. Pence was preceded in death by her parents and a brother
Roy H. Clark.
