Obituary

Betty Lou Pittman, 73, of Columbus passed away Friday March 18, 2022 at her residence.

Born February 24, 1949 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Jean K. and Leora R. Hermann Pittman.

Betty Lou was a member of Newbern United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed volunteering at the United Methodist Work Camps at Red Bird Mission and Henderson Settlement.

Until retirement she was employed at the Bartholomew County Voter's Registration Office.

Betty Lou loved cats, riding her bike, crafting, reading and bible study.  She collected covered bridge things.

She is survived by cousins, Anna (Glen) Adams of Columbus, Barbara Coulter(John Gillaspy) of Indianapolis, William (Sandra) Whitten of Holmdel, NJ, Tom Hermann of Glenwood, IN, John, Jerome, Edward, David and Mary Ann Hermann, all of Connorsville.

There will be a public graveside service for Betty Lou Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Newbern United Methodist Church or Love Chapel.

Betty Lou was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Pittman.
