Billy Joe Love, 86, of Hartsville passed away December 23, 2021 at his residence.

Born June 26, 1935 in French Lick, Indiana Mr. Love was the son of Billy and Hazel F. Jackman Love.  He married Neosha Sharon Beckett April of 1959 and she preceded him in death January of 2014.

Mr. Love retired from Reliance Electric as a maintenance technician.

He served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.

He enjoyed playing cards and flea marketing.  He sold pork rinds at the flea market for a while.

A funeral will be conducted for Mr. Love Wednesday December 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Tim Tallent officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with military graveside rites performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.

Mr. Love is survived by children, April Love-Wessel of Hope, Troy Love (Lori Patton Love) of Columbus and Chris Love (Lori Patterson Love) of Hartsville; grandchildren, Dominic Williams, Nakia Love, Haleigh Love, Zachary Love, Whitney Hoban, Moriah Love and Eli Love; seven great grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Janet Sue Wilson of Utah and Robert "Bob" Love of Florida.

Mr. Love is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Hazel Love and wife Neosha Sharon Beckett Love.
