Bobby Joe Garrison, 49, of Hope passed away at 12:20 pm at Methodist Hospital Tuesday June 24, 2008.
He had previously been employed at Ashbrook's Hope Food Mart and Cummins Engine Co.
He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Hope. He loved playing the guitar and was a member of The Possum Glory Train Band. He coached little league baseball in Hope for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and racing.
The funeral will be conducted Sat. June 28 at 1:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Kerry Krauss officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 at the funeral home. Born on October 31, 1958, in Shelbyville, IN, Bobby Joe was the son of Robert L. Garrison of Columbus and the late Margaret A. Burton Garrison. He married Jill F. Ashbrook on June 30, 1989 and she survives.
Other survivors include; a daughter, Katrina (Dan) Erickson of Columbus; sons, Matt, Zach and Levi Garrison, all of Hope; two brothers, Steve (Joyce) Garrison and Tony ( Lisa) Garrison of Columbus; two sisters, Wendy A. (Mike) Hall of Jacksonville, Ark and Cindy L. (Tony) Rosenbaum of Vernon, IN and a grandson, Gunnar Erickson of Columbus.
Bobby Joe was preceded in death by his mother.
