Brent Alan Smith, 68 of Columbus passed away Tuesday November 9, 2021 at his residence.

Born June 19, 1953 in Columbus he was the son of Kenneth and Marcile Runge Smith.  He married Jeanice M. Wilson August 29, 1987 and she preceded him in death August 2, 2006.

Brent had previously been employed as a supervisor for Rock 10 Cardboard Factory.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

He was an avid History Buff.

Brent is survived by children, Bradley (Hannah) Smith of Bloomington, Keegan Smith of Hope, Hunter Smith of Hope and Haley Smith of Hope; a brother, Dwight (Janet) Smith of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Visitation for Brent will be Friday from noon until 2 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Scott Roberts and Vicar James Bozarth will be at 2 pm. Friday.  Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery.
