Carole Jean Alvey, 77, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at her home.

Born on April 2, 1944 in Columbus, Carole was the daughter of Kenneth Paul and Dorothy Dietrich Dillman. She grew up in Hartsville and graduated from Hauser High School. She married Paul Alvey and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Carole retired from Dorel Juvenile Group as a factory worker. She had formerly attended Who So Ever Will Community Church and The Crossing.

Carole enjoyed gardening, walking and bicycling, and playing at the playground with the kids.

Survivors include children, Lisa Fields of North Vernon, Natalie (Josh) Nelson of Hope, and Michael Starnes of Edinburgh; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Marlene Hoy; and brother, Wayne Dillman.

Following Carole's wishes, cremation is planned.
