Carolyn S. Burton Doboze, 68 of Butlerville, IN died Tuesday October 14, 2008 at Hospice of South Central IN in Columbus. She was a home care giver and worked for Developemental Services in Col. She loved to travel and cook and loved being with family. The funeral will be Friday October 17 at 11:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with her brother in law Rev. John Wright officiating. Calling will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow and burial at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, IN will be at a later date. Memorials may be donated to Hospice of South Central IN at 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47203 or through the funeral home. Born in Bartholomew Co. on April 21, 1940, Carolyn was the daughter of Eddie R. and Bertha Ethel Caldwell Burton. Survivors include children, Jerry A.(Jean) Johnson of Alabama, James L."Harpo" (Heidi) Johnson of Elizabethtown, J. Twyla (Davin) Roberts of Columbus and Jalinda F.(Scott) Seward of Florida; sisters, Yvonne(Jim McPeak) Johnson of Hope and Linda(John) Wright of North Vernon; brothers, Arthur(Florence) Burton of Columbus and Greg(Marcia) Burton of Columbus; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a companion Mike Doboze of Butlerville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Doboze; brothers, Chester Sinclair and Hank Burton and sisters Donna Zaring, Wanda Thompson and Margaret Gabbard.
