Cathrine E. Marlin, 88 of Hope passed away Sunday March 25, 2012
at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
She was a member of the Hope Moravian Church, KOLA Class, Red Hat
Society, Home Ec Club and Widows Society of Bethlehem.
She loved mowing grass, jigsaw puzzles, attending church and board games.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at Hope Moravian Church with
Rev. Bryan Trotter officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 3 - 8 pm at
Norman Funeral Home in Hope and Sunday from 2:00 until service time at
the church. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorials may be donated to Hope Moravian Church Building Fund or
Dollars for Scholars.
Born July 3, 1923 in Madison, Wisconsin, Cathrine was the daughter of
Ernest and Martha Stoltz Drebert. She married Franklin Marlin February 25,
1945 and he preceded her in death March 19, 1989.
Survivors include children, Steven L. Marlin of Los Angeles, CA, Matthew
L. (Jan) Marlin of Hope and Christine M. (Gary) Huffman of Columbus;
granschildren, Daniela Samms, Lindsay Huffman, Grant Huffman and Nicholas
Marlin; great grandchildren, Nathan Samms, Lauren Cathrine Samms.
Cathrine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother,
Franklin "Bud" Drebert.
