Pruett
July 14, 1945 – March 7, 2021
Born July 14, 1945 in Frankfort, IN. he was the son of Zelbert Owen Pruett and Loucille Pucket Powell.
Charles retired from Arvins as a factory worker.
He served in the U.S. Army and was in the National Guard for over 20 years.
Visitation for Charles will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. The funeral will be a private service conducted by Rev. Stan Loutner. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by the Bartholomew County Veteran's Honor Guard will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Norman Funeral Home to help with Charles funeral expenses.
Charles is survived by children, Cheryl Spurgeon, Richard Varvel (Christy Killmer) and Regina (Kelly) Heagle, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Hailey Spurgeon, Tanner Varvel, Arielle Beller, Alexandria Beller and Aaron Heagle; a great- granddaughter, Jasmine Singleton; siblings, Amanda Baldwin and Roy (Teresa) Pruett, all of Columbus; his former wife and friend, Carolyn Pruett; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Zelbert and Loucille and a sister, Irma Pruett.
Charles enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gold prospecting, being outdoors and his beloved cat, Sabrina.
