Claude Leon Heitz, 56 of Elizabethtown passed away at his home. He had worked at Lowes for several years and was in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to fish and hunt. Born in Columbus ,IN.on March 12, 1952 he was the son of Donald and Beulah Pittman Payne. They survive in Elizabethtown. Other survivors include brothers Terry Lee (Susan) Payne of Westport and David D. (Katrina) Payne of Elizabethtown, and three nieces and three nephews. Graveside service will be Monday February 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Creek Cemetery in Jennings County. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc.
