Clifton R. "Bubba" Posey, Jr., 62 of Columbus, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He had previously worked as a brick layer. He had been employed at Overhead Door, Rightway Fasteners, and Swifty Gas Station.
He was a member of Hartsville Church of Christ,
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and reading the bible. He enjoyed going to Hauser sporting events to watch his nephew and support his brother-in-law.
Born December 11, 1956 in Columbus, Clifton was the son of Clifton R. and Bessie J. Curry Posey. He married Kimberly Case August 19, 2005, and she survives.
Other survivors include step-children, Marianne and Alan Bushey; siblings, Vickie (Jim) Reynolds of Columbus, Patricia Rice of Columbus, Lonnie Posey of Columbus, Janice (Tony) Wood of Alabama and Annie (Stephen) Grindstaff of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned and there will be a memorial service on Monday at 5:00 p.m. at Hartsville Church of Christ with visitation from 4:00 to service time.
Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Bessie; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Case and his nephew, Jason wood.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hartsville Church of Christ or American Cancer Society.
