Obituary


Cynthia S. Miller, 83 of Hope passed away Thursday March 13, 2014
at her daughter's home.
Before retirement she was part owner of Miller Masonry. In her
previous years she was a postal clerk at the Hope Post Office.
She attended Dove Ministries of Columbus and also had previously
attended North Middletown Christian Church in Kentucky.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, was a stamp collector and
an avid reader. Cynthia was also known for her generosity as she donated
to many charities.
The funeral will be friday March 21 at 2:00 p.m . at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope with Pastor Mike Newlin officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00
to 2:00 on Friday. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hospice of South Central Indiana,
the Bartholomew County Humane Society or the Hope Food Bank.
Born January 13, 1931, Cynthia was the daughter of Lon Dallas and Pearl
Mann Stewart. She married Arthur L. Miller in 1974 and he preceded her in
death in 1999. She was also previously married to Robert Conner.
Survivors include children, Bruce Conner of Shelbyville, Brenda (Monty)
Staples of Georgetown, Roberta (Jim) Wolpert of Hope and Beth Canter of
Indianapolis; step children, Claudia (Paul) Fox, Paula (Larry) Butler, Deborah
(Stephen) Kane and Bonnie (Milton) Smith; grandchildren, Nathan and Rose
Staples, Gwen Fitzpatrick, Keith Wolpert and Dana and Jacob Canter; seven
step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur Miller and several
brothers and sisters.
