Dale F. Miller, 86 of Columbus died Sunday Sept. 2, 2012 at Hospice of Central Indiana.
Mr. Miller retired as a parts mounter in 1988 from Cummins Engine Co. He had been a member of First Baptist Church in Hope and also had attended Columbus Baptist Church. He was a WW II veteran serving in the U. S. Navy. He was also a member of the Diesel Workers Union and loved to fish and hunt.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. on also on Thursday from 10: 00 a.m. until service time. Burial with military rites will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana, American Lung Cancer Soc., Volunteers in Medicine or donor's choice of charities.
Born in Hope on March 6, 1926, he was the son of Clarence and Leota Cohee Miller. He married Carol Braunagel on Oct. 28, 1966 and she survives
Other survivors include a son Barton C. (Linda) Miller of Hope; daughter Sereta J. (Fredrick) Andrews of Nashville; step daughters Janet L. Enochs of Columbus, Peggy L. (Dean) Lane of Hope, Lorraine Brooks and Kathy (Glenn) Cox both of Columbus, step son Michael (Betty) Kelly of Columbus; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents.
