Daniel Kevin Redmon, 49, of Flat Rock, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 19, 2017 at Major Hospital.

He was a Test Systems Engineer at Cummins Tech Center for 28 years. He loved his work and enjoyed his job.

Daniel enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and ran marathons with his wife. He loved his family and spending time with them.

Born on January 12, 1969 in Indianapolis, Daniel was the son of Sidney J. and Bonnie Nuckolos Redmon. He graduated from Triton Central High School in 1987. Daniel married Kimberly Clark on March 25, 1987, and she survives.

Other survivors include children, Ashley Nicole (Jeffery) Pass, Shelby Dawn Redmon, and Nicholas Kevin Redmon, all of Flat Rock; mother, Bonnie Redmon, of Pleasant View; brother, Dennis K. Redmon of Pleasant View; sister, Angie (Andrew) Alexander of Whiteland; father-in-law, Stephen A. Clark of Martinsville, brother-in-law, Michael A. Clark of Trafalgar, sister-in-law, Chastity A. (Sean) Harmon of Fortville; grandfather-in-law, Edgar Rives of Indianapolis; and nieces and nephews.

Daniel is preceded in death by his father; and mother-in-law, Patsy E. Clark.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Following the burial, there will be a Celebration of Life for Daniel at Simmon's Winery Banquet Hall on 450 N in Columbus from 3 to 6 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to Flat Rock River YMCA Youth Camp.
