**** To remember David, a public gathering will be held Sunday October 18, 2020 from 2 to 5 at The Hartsville Church of Christ.
David W. Mobley, 81, of Greensburg, died Wednesday April 1, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born February 27, 1939 in Columbus, David was the son of Franklin Wayne and Helen B. Behrman Mobley. He married Rebecca Maley January 27, 1962 and they celebrated 58 years together this year.
David was retired from farming which was also a hobby as he loved raising livestock, working on old tractors and collecting Farm All/International tractors and memorabilia. He also loved trapshooting.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg and grew up attending St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Columbus. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Lodge in Batesville, Power of The Past in Greensburg, and a former member of the Hartsville Volunteer Fire Department.
David served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca; sons, Joseph W. (Pam) Mobley of Hartsville, Matt Mobley (Angie Johnson) of Columbus, and David "Chris" (Pam) Mobley of Kokomo; grandchildren, Jessica Mobley (Justin), Billy Mobley (Darcy), Sara Driver (Jacob), Adrian Petterson (Shalane), Jonathon D. Mobley, Alicia Minning, Tiara Batton, Lexi Mobley, Morgan Mobley, Maddie Mobley, Casey Cline, Courtney Talley (Brett), Caitlin Shotwell (Adam) and Caden Cline (Ashleigh); great grandchildren, Faith Bean, Luke and Wyatt Imlay, Cole Scott, Joanna Mobley, Nevan Lynch, McKynlee Driver, Aubrey, Olivia, Rosie, Everleigh, Mayleigh, Sammy and Amelia Shotwell, Berkley, Daphne and Foster Talley, Sophia, Crew and Brooks Cline; brother, Dan (Kathy) Mobley of Dallas, TX.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Louise Hollingsworth and Ann Fischer.
There will be a private graveside service for David at Hope Moravian Cemetery with Father John Meyer officiating. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
