Dennis Barriger, 49 of Columbus passed away Tues. February 19 at 8:12 pm at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Barriger was a school bus driver for the Bartholomew Con. School Corp. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Born July 25, 1958, in Columbus, IN, he was the son of Delmos R. and Patricia Calvin Barriger of Edinburgh. He married Tammy S. Foist on June 20, 1981 at Burnsville Christian Church and she survives.
The funeral will be conducted on Saturday February 23 at 1:30 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Brian Barriger officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus. Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Regional Hospital Cancer Unit, 2400 E 17th St. Col., IN 47201 or through the funeral home.
Other survivors include; a daughter, Brittany C. Barriger of Columbus; sisters, Dee(Kenny) Sandlin of Edinburgh and Karen Barriger of Columbus; sister-in-law, Margaret Barriger/Janes of Columbus;
brothers, Tony Barriger of Hope, Dave(Sally) Barriger, Greg(Liz) Barriger, and Mark(Becky) Barriger all of Columbus, Mike(Bobbie) Barriger and Scott(Angie) Barriger of Indianapolis; brother-in-laws, Tim Foist of Avon and Troy(Beth) Foist of Columbus; father and mother-in-law, Carroll and Marilyn Foist of Columbus.
Mr. Barriger was preceded in death by a brother, Vince Barriger and a sister-in-law, Paula Foist.
