Donald C. Butler, 77, of Hope, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor.

Donald retired from being a dispatcher for a trucking company.

He enjoyed walking, and listening to classical music, especially orchestras and symphonies.

Born on July 22, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois, Donald was the son of Donald Hege and Elizabeth B. Cochrane Butler. He married F. "Marie" Pickett on April 28, 1962, and she preceded him in death on May 3, 2004.

Survivors include daughters, Tara (David) Waggoner of Elizabethtown, Glenda (Mike) Phelps of Hope, Georgey (Jerome) Jacquard of Bloomington, Weena (Leonard) Settle of Columbus, and Nova (Sean) Snider of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Chassie Wolford, Amanda Newson, Alicia Ball, Brittany Phelps, Michael Phelps, Katey Beeker, Clayton Beeker, Logan Settle, Zebulon Adams, Zarek Adams, Zechariah Adams, Angel Snider, Jocelyn Snider, and Beau Snider; great-grandchildren, Kira Sosbe, Nicholas and Ryker Midkiff, and Addison Grace Winko.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Jimmy Butler.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
