Donald W. Dillman of Hope went to be with the Lord Saturday April 5, 2008. Don was born in Col., IN on March 8, 1940, to Shirley "Bud" & Jessie Cecil Anderson Dillman and they preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Hope High School in 1957. On June 24, 1962, he married the former Rena Blake. Together they shared and celebrated forty-five years of marriage.
Surviving him is his loving wife; sons, Jon Dillman of Hope, Darrell(Dana) Dillman of Pittsboro,INand two grandchildren, James Blake Dillman and Jessica Dillman of Pittsboro.
Don had served as President of Heritage of Hope for over thirty-five years. He was a founding member of Hawcreek- Flatrock Endowment Fund and served on the board. He was a member of Hope Chamber of Commerce and of the Hartsville Masonic Lodge. He also served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Hope for many years.
He retired from Cosco/Dorel Juvenile in 2001 after forty-one years of service.
The funeral and calling will be at The World of Pentecost Church in Columbus where he was a member. Calling will be on Wed. April 9 from 11:00am until 1:00pm with the service following conducted by Rev. Dan Mitchell and Rev. Tony Carson. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
