Donald R. Speckman, Sr., 86 of Flat Rock passed away Monday March 20, 2023 at Arbor Grove Health Center in Greensburg.

He is survived by children, Brenda (Jeff) Hatton of Flat Rock, Donald R. (Angela) Speckman, Jr. of Batesville and Victoria (Frank) Nobbe of Batesville; seven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Donald was born May 24, 1936 in Batesville and was the son of Eugene and Bertha Anderson Speckman, (whom are deceased) of Sunman, IN.  He graduated from Milan High School in 1954.  He married Wilma Louise Eckstein and they were married for 25 years and she preceded him in death.

Donald loved fishing, hunting, gardening, working on the farm and animals.

Before retirement he was employed at Hillenbrand, Inc.  He was a fireman for Batesville Volunteer Fire Department.

A visitation celebrating Donald's life will be held Friday March 31, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.

Memorial contributions in memory of Donald may be donated to Arbor Grove Village, 1021 E. Central Ave., Greensburg, Indiana.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Bertha and his wife Wilma Louise.
