Dorothy M. Allen 83, of Greensburg passed away Thursday July 5,2012
Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of
Hartsville Baptist Church and Hi Neighbor Home Ec. Club. She also love to read and
sew , paint and fish.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Norman Funeral
Home in Hope with Pastor Tim Tallent offiiciating. Calling hours will be Saturday from
9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be Bear Creek Cemetery.
Born in Corpus Christi, TX on Sept. 19, 1928, she was the daughter of
Harry and Eunice Rudicel Dunkelbarger. She married Lee Allen on Dec. 6, 1947
and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters Pamela (Robert) Crussel of Greensburg,
and Kathy (Danny) Summers of Columbus; grandchildren Sean ( Audra) McNear
of Columbus, Nathan ( Bridget) Crussel of Hamilton, Ohio and Mike Crussel of
Greensburg and great grandchildren Olivia, Keller, and Layla McNear and Holden
Crussel, sisters Shirley Schwartzkopf of Columbus, Ruth (Alvin ) Roberts of
Hartsville and Carol Swegman of Columbus.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and
Eugene Dunkelbarger and a sister Lois Dunkelbarger.
