Dustin Lee Smith, 21 of Franklin died Monday September 14, 2009.
He was employed at the United Methodist Home in Franklin in the dietary dept. He was serving with the National Guard.
He enjoyed dirt bike racing, golf, football, hunting & fishing.
The funeral will be conducted at the Who So Ever Will Church in Edinburgh on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jesse Tays officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 am until service time at the church. Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery north of Hope with full Military honors. Arrangements were made through Norman Funeral Home.

Born on August 15, 1988 in Columbus, IN, Dustin was the son of Ronald Smith Jr. and Lisa Law Smith.
Survivors include his mother of Franklin; his father and step mother Jolie of Indianapolis; a daughter Aubrey Jo Smith of Franklin; a sister Tana Smith of Franklin; a niece, Briana Tomlin of Franklin; grandmothers, Iris Kent and Rose Law of Hope and Charlene Wiggins of Edinburgh; a grandfather Ronald Smith Sr. of the Phillipines; uncles, Donald Smith of Edinburgh, Daniel Law of Columbus and David Law of Hope; an aunt, Arlene Stuart of Batesville; a step brother, Tyler Wheatley of Indianapolis; a step sister, Lyssi Wheatley of Indianapolis and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Archie Kent and Paul Law.
