Earl E. Holland formerly of Columbus,In. died Saturday, September 13 at his home in Mulberry, In. Mr. Holland was born January 29, 1935 to Eva M. Due in Breather County, Kentucky. A graduate of Columbus High School, he served active duty in the U.S. Army and with the U.S. Army Reserves in Indiana. He worked for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus for over 32 years retiring early at age 50 from the Warranty Department. Throughout his active life he enjoyed water sking, boating, golfing, camping, fishing, bowling and competitive motorcycle racing. He was a charter and lifetime member of the Stoney Lonesome Motorcycle Club and a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association. He also enjoyed off road motorcycle riding, particularly in Colorado and fishing in Canada with friends. He was an accomplished mechanic and an avid racing fan. Mr Holland is survived by a daughter, Vicki Huffer (husband Ted), and two grandchildren, Katie and Reece Montgomery of Mulberry: daughter LeeAnne Holland (husband Mike Matthews ) of Chicago; his devoted and loving companion of many years, Ann Williams of Columbus; and many extraordinary friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfahter William Due,Sr., his formerwife Shari L. Holland, their son,John David Holland, and a stepbrother William Due, Jr. Calling hours are from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Hope with funeral service immediately following on Wednsaday at 2:00 p.m. Sept 17.
