Earnest H. Wright, 78 formerly of Hope passed away Monday April 5, 2010 at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was retired from Arvins Industries where he had worked for over 30 years. He had been a member of the Rugby United Brethren Church since 1960. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and coaching Little League Baseball in Hope.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. Tracy McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be on friday from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery.

Born on April 2, 1932 in Philadelphia, Miss., Mr. Wright was the son of Lonelis and Lessie Bell Vooley Wright. He married Betty Ruth Spurgeon June 8, 1951 and she preceded him in death April 27, 1999. He then married Georgia Frady in June of 2000 and she survives in Florida.
Also surviving are daughters, Sandy (Mike) Hoover of Hope and Diane Shipley of Columbus; a son, Lynn (Kim) Wright of Hope; grandchildren, Jason Hoover, Caleb (Jesseca) Hoover, Elisha (Liana) Hoover, Mark Baxter, Chris Shipley, Bricklyn Shipley, Stacy (Yeri) Batres and Ernie Wright; sisters, Mildred Sumerall, May Osborn and Margie Blackwell all of Miss. and Janie Hieght of Fla. and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Clyde, Roger, Joe and Ann.
