Obituary

Earnestine Bryant, 88, of Hope passed away Thursday February 27, 2025 at Miller's Merry Manor.

Born January 8, 1937 in Edmonton, KY she was the daughter of Roy and Mammie Jessee Fields.  She married Ramon Coomer and he preceded her in death August 28, 1998.  She then married Jim Bryant April 11, 2009 and he survives.

Before retirement Earnestine was employed at Arvins.  In her earlier years she worked at the Rovier Factory.

Earnestine was a member of the Church of God Church.

She enjoyed singing gospel music and traveling with her husband in a gospel music group.

Earnestine is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Debbie Froedge (Larry Jessie) of Columbus, Tim (Kay) Coomer of Hope, Jeff Bryant of North Vernon, Tony (Shirley) Bryant of Paris Crossing; grandchildren, Rhonda, Michael, Tammy, Eric, Patrick, Dillon, Elizabeth and Alec; several great grandchildren; sister, Louise Riley of Austin, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Earnestine will be Tuesday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Gerald Hancock will officiate the service.

Burial will follow at Hawcreek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.

Earnestine was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Ramon; daughter, Jeannie Wilhite; sons, Ronnie and Terry Coomer and siblings, Elvira Coomer, Mildred Burris, Tom Fields, Mary Lou Hamilton and Tilda Froedge.
