Obituary

Edwin G. Cohen, 88 of Bloomington, passed away January
20, 2014 at Meadowood Retirement Center in Bloomington.

He was a Naval officer and served during World War II, and
received several college degrees through The University of Texas
and The University of Michigan.

Throughout his entire professional career, Ed was involved in educational television. He was the founder and executive producer of the Agency for Instructional Television, in Bloomington.

He loved to travel throughout the world with his wife, and was a passionate gardener and historian.

Ed is survived by his wife of sixty years, Otta Lee Cohen of
Bloomington; his sister, Fern Cohen of Portland, OR; his four
children, Steve Cohen(Mary Laudick), Tom Cohen, Cathy Cohen,
Jennifer Modglin(Richard Modglin); his five grandchildren, Nicole and Lauren Jump, Nathan, Amy and Audrey Modglin.

A memorial service will be held at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Bloomington on Saturday, February 1st at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Per his families wishes,entombment will follow at a later date.

Memorial contributions in memory of Edwin Cohen may be donated to the local Public Television Network at PBS, 1229 E. Seventh St.,Bloomington, IN 47405.
