Ellamae Bragg, 71 of Hope died Monday May 23, 2011 at 1:09 am at her
residence.
She was a housewife and a member of Hawcreek Missionary Baptist Church
in Hope.
The funeral will be Thursday at 12:00 pm at Hawcreek Missionary Baptist Church
with Bro. Windell Pierce officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 at the
church. Burial will follow the funeral at Hawcreek Cemetery near Hope.
Memorials may be donated to Hawcreek Missionary Baptist Church through the
Funeral Home.
Born on October 12, 1939 in Kentucky, Mrs. Bragg was the daughter of Culip and Zella
Turner Burris. She married Felton Bragg and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2001.
Survivors include children, Beverly Gean Bragg of Hope, Lisa Gail (Teddy) Woodson of Columbus,
Daniel C. (Patty) Bragg of Hope; grandchildren, Jesse Roberts, Joshua Woodson, Sarah Bragg, Brian
Roberts, Crystal Roberts, April Woodson, Amanda Cribbs, Linsey Woodson and Amber Roberts;
a great grandson, Noah Webber; a brother, Starlin (Vera) Burris of Hope and Betty Philyaw of
Hope.
Mrs. Bragg was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Becky Thompson and
a sister, Izona Marie Johnson.
