Everett James Miller, 82, of Columbus, died Monday June 1, 2020 at his home.

Born May 10, 1938 in Hope, he was the son of James W. and Mildred Roselyn Shinolt Miller.

Before retirement Everett was a truck driver in the logging industry.

He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and playing cards.

Survivors include his companion of 26 years, Cathy Foist of Columbus; daughter, Elizabeth Foist (Nicholas Keaton) of Columbus; sons, Tyler Foist of Lincoln City, Oregan, Curtis Miller of Tennessee; grandchildren, Elizabeth Keaton of Columbus and step-grandson, Ayden Keaton of Columbus; brothers, Dwight Miller of Texas, Steve Miller of Texas, Verne Miller of Columbus; sisters, Carolyn Singleton of Columbus and Melvina Wooten of Grammer.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Karl and George Miller and 2 infant sisters.

There will be a graveside service at Hawcreek Cemetery officiated by Pastor Jerry Ballard.

Arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home and memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
