Frances Giovanna Goeller, 98 of Columbus passed away at 8:21 p.m. Saturday June 19, 2010 at Four Seasons Health Care Center
Mrs. Goeller graduated from Hope High School and from Arkon, Ohio City Hospital School Of Nursing. She had been a registered nurse at the former Bartholomew County Hospital where she had help start up the first emergency room. She was a member of the Columbus First Christian Church where she had been a sunday school teacher and a volunteer for the Columbus Visitors Center and Columbus Senior Center
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Norman Funeral Home with Al White and Dan Wallace officiaitng. Calling will be on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born June 18, 1912 in Lapel, Mrs Goeller was the daughter of Dr. R.A. and Josephine Rambo Hoover. She married William F. Goeller on August 3, 1940 and he preceded in death on Feburary 20, 1971.
Survivors include daughters Marty ( Joseph) Foyst and Kathie ( Dan) Colvin both of Columbus, grandchildren Jonet (Dr Tom) Kundenreich of Yorktown, Jocelyn Zeigler, Troy Taber and Ann Colvin all of Columbus and Carol (William) Carbajal of West Layfayette and ten great grandchildren.
Mrs. Goeller was preceded in death by brothers Tom and Charles Hoover and a sister Katherine Stafford.
