Freddie Lee Martin, 72 of Columbus, died Wednesday April 8, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born November 7, 1947 in Tompkinsville, KY, Freddie was the son of Cecil and Alice Townsend Martin.

Before retirement he was employed at Bearing Corporation of America.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed classic cars and walking for exercise.

He had attended Hartsville Baptist Church.

There will be a private family graveside held at Hope Moravian Cemetery with Tim Tallent officiating.

Survivors include a brother, Cecil Martin, Jr. of Ashville, NC; a sister, Norma Bennett of Columbus; nephews, Steve Bennett, Kevin Bennett and Jonathon Martin; a niece Jenna Luera and several great nieces and nephews.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents.
