Gary Lee Drake, 65 formerly of Clifford died Sunday
February 26, 2012 at the Christina House Health Facility in Franklin.
He was retired from Cummins as a factory worker.
He had served in the U.S. Army from 1967- 1973. He attended the
St. Louis Crossing Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting and horses.
The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope
with Rev. Marvin Arnett officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 pm
at the funeral home. Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock, IN
with military graveside rites.
Memorial contributions may be donated to St. Louis Crossing Baptist
Church.
Born April 6, 1946 in Shelby County, Mr. Drake was the son of Wilford
and Frances Miller Drake. He married Mary Phyllis Kyte on September 17, 1969
and she preceded him in death on July 23, 2009.
Survivors include sons, Todd L. (Melisa) Drake of Hope and Robert (Angela)
Drake of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Devon Drake, Taylor Lambert, Cassie Lambert,
Phillip Lawson, Joseph Drake, Gary Drake, Nathaniel Drake and Isaiah Drake and
brothers Darrell Drake of Butlerville and Dale Drake of Scipio.
Mr. Drake was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary; daughter, Kim
Drake; sisters, Sheryl Drake, Ellen Drake, and Karen Sue Drake and brother Dennis
Drake.
