Obituary

George Curtis Andrews, 95, of Hope passed away
Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Before retirement, George was a trained dispatcher
for Pennsylvania Railroad, Pen Central, and Conrail.
He served in the Army Air Force during WWII as a Radio
Operator Mechanic.
He was a member of American Legion and the Camon
Masonic Lodge in Hope.
George enjoyed watching birds and wildlife. He liked
to watch the farmers work and enjoyed the sound of trains.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman
Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Scott Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Diabetes
Association.
Born June 25, 1921 in Hope, George was the son of
Curtis and Josie Jolliff Andrews. He married Ruth Clark
on July 6, 1946, and she preceded him in death on
October 3, 2012.
Survivors include children, Karen S. Andrews of
Jamestown, Charles E. (Teri) Andrews of Fort Wayne,
and George C. Andrews Jr. of Flat Rock; grandchildren,
Charles "Chuck" Andrews of Fort Wayne and David
Andrews of Ft. Meade, MA; and brother-in-law, John
Clark of Ravenna, OH.
George is preceded in death by his parents; wife;
and sisters, Nancy Lortz and Henrietta Andrews
