George F. Darnell, 76 of Hope died Tuesday December 10, 2013
at
Columbus Regional Hospital
.
He was retired from Arvins where he had worked in inventory.
He loved NASCAR, Football and going to auctions.
The funeral will be
Saturday at 11:00 am
at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope. Visitation will be
Friday from 4 - 8 pm
at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Hawcreek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to American Cancer
Society.
Born October 23, 1937 in Rushville, George was the son of Darwin
Darnell and Beulah McClure DeBaun. He married Phyllis Stutz
January 19, 1958 and she survives.
Survivors include his wife of Hope; a son Jeff (Karen) Darnell of Hope;
a daughter Pam Darnell of Hope; grandchildren Jason Darnell of Columbus,Ryan Willey, Christopher Darnell, Brandon Slocun and Jared Slocun, all of Hope; great grandchildren Hailee Darnell and Jared Slocun II both of Columbus and a sister Barbara (Sam) Swinford of Flat Rock.
George was preceded in death by his parents and a step father who
raised him Eugene Adams.
