George K. Robinette, 84 of Hope passed away at 10:10 a.m. Saturday January 17, 2009 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope. Mr. Robinette had worked as an auto mechanic for Sibbitt-Mann Chevrolet in Greensburg and Graham-Todd Buick in Columbus and reitred from Percifield Radiator Service in Columbus. He loved flea marketing. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with the Rev. Doug Sharp officiating. Calling will be today from 4 to 8 p.m and from 12:00 pm until service time on Tuesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Born on October 6, 1924 in Nashville, Wisconsin, Mr. Robinette was the son of John Henry and Lydia Ann Roberts Robinette. Survivors include; children Rick (Karen) Robinette and Roger (Debra) Robinette both of Elizabethtown, Pam Robinette of Burnsville, N.C. and Kevin Robinette of Middlebury, IN; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and his first wife Lois Jean Marcum of Burnsville, N.C. Mr. Robinette was preceded in death by brothers John, Lewis and Ovie and sisters Pauline, Cloma . Nora and Laura, granddaughter April Robinette and his wife Calma.
