Gloria Mae Foster, 84 of Indianapolis died Friday March 9, 2012
at her daughter's home in Flat Rock.
She was a member of Drexel Gardens Christian Church in Indianapolis.
She loved reading, sewing, fishing and spending time with her family and
friends.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope
with Terry Bailey and Gary Lynch officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from
10:00 am until service time. Burial will be at Norristown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hospice of Shelby Co. or the
American Heart Association.
Born March 28, 1927 in Flat Rock, IN Mrs. Foster was the daughter of
E. Kirk and Ophia Mae Barker VanGorden. She married Charles D. Foster
November 1, 1947 in Shelby Co. and he preceded her in death September 9, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Mark P. Foster of Indianapolis; a daughter, Lisa M.
Park ( David Stevens)of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Joshua N.(Kelly) Foster of
Plainfield, Melissa D. Pearson (Brent Isgrigg) of Flat Rock and Leslie D. Park
(Robert Parker) of Flat Rock; great grandchildren, Noah Richardson, Nicholas
and Emma Isgrigg and Hayden Parker of Flat Rock and Jasmine and Logan
Foster of Plainfield; a brother Robert D. (Janet) VanGorden of North Carolina.
Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother
Harry E. VanGorden.
