Gordon W. Milby, 74, of Flat Rock, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born on March 3, 1949 in Green County, Kentucky, Gordon was the son of Dennis and Exie Elmore Milby. He married Wanda Alexander on December 23, 1972.

Gordon retired from Mac Beath Hardwood Company in Edinburgh. He had served in the United States Army.

Gordon enjoyed fishing, watching Westerns and sporting events, especially basketball and football. Gordon also enjoyed history and anything pertaining to the military.  Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda; children, Dawn Milby of Greenville, IN, Chris (Jessica) Milby of Columbus, and Sarah Flippo of Columbus; grandchildren, Kyle Jenkins, Kaylee Flippo, Cecilia Milby, and Jacob Milby; and sisters, Geraldine (Romer) Coffey of Russell Springs, KY and Wanda (Frank) Galliher of Paducah, KY.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Velma Kirtley, Virginia Gault, Rachel Milby, and Rita Alexander.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26 at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Norristown Cemetery.
