Harlan O. Ollestad, 80 of Columbus passed away Wednesday
August 24 at I.U. Methodist Hospital.
Before retirement he had been employed at Bender Lumber in
Sales.
He enjoyed fishing, golf and loved to paint.
There will be visitation for Harlan at Norman Funeral Home in
Hope Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. No services are planned
at the funeral home. There will be a graveside service at Bearcreek
Cemetery at 2:30 officiated by Wes Jones.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions be
sent to the Alzheimers Association through the funeral home.
Born August 30, 1936 in Duluth, MN, Harlan was the son of Willis
and Evelyn Elstad Ollestad. He married Patricia Parker March 3, 1956
and she survives.
Also surviving are children, John (Denise) Ollestad, Roberta (Jeff)
Gilpin, Rhonda (Gary) Ollestad, Carla (Tony) Boaz, Karen (Jay) Darnell,
and Sharon Ollestad; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
