Harold D. Holcomb, 76, of Hope passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 7:50 a.m. at his home.
He was retired from Cummins. Harold served in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Hope Wesleyan Church. He was a former member of Eagles and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing Texas Hold 'em.
The funeral will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Barry Goodman officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Hope Wesleyan Church through the funeral home.
Born on February 4, 1940 in Columbus, Harold was the son of Horace Holcomb and Clara Cheek McCain. He married Norma Bottoms on October 25, 1969, and she survives.
Other survivors include children, Danny (Lindsey McIntyre) Holcomb and Carla (Robert) Hartwell, both of Hope; grandchildren, Amber Hundley of Arizona, Elizabeth (Derick) Sons, Andrew (Shelby Brooks) Hartwell, Bobby (Jessica) Hartwell, all of Hope, and Connor Holcomb of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Haven, Willow, and Kinley Hartwell, and Matthew and Alex Taylor, all of Hope; and siblings, Larry and Johnny Holcomb, both of Hommosassa, Florida, David Holcomb of Columbus, and Phyllis Cox of Terre Haute.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Holcomb; and brother, Horace D. Holcomb.
