Henry Lee Wells, 88 of Hartsville, died Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 9:32pm at Hospice of South Central Indiana. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed gardening and growing tobacco. The funeral will be Saturday February 21 at 11:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. The visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home and from 10:00 until service time on Saturday. Born on February 15, 1920 in Glasgow, Ky, Mr. Wells was the son of Donald Harm and Pearl Humphrey Wells. He married Amanda Ruby Scott on Oct. 21, 1938 and she preceded him in death in June of 2000. Survivors include children Leonard Wells of Hartsville, Jewell(David) Ciesiolka of Taylorsville, Corine Anderson of Westport,Junior Wells of Hartsville, Wilma Beggs of North Vernon, Mike Wells of Hartsville, Debby (Bill) Bowman of Columbus, and Tim Wells of Paris Crossing; brothers, Howard, James and Ray Wells all of Glasgow, Ky and a sister Clyde Wells of Indianapolis; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son Dale Wells and some brothers and sisters.
