Obituary

Hester F. Herron Huffer Dailey, 89 of Hope passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2009 at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the choir. She was a member of the Crimson Chics Red Hat Society, Royal Neighbors of America, Friendly Neighbors Extension Homemakers Club and a Euchre Club for over 50 years.
She enjoyed playing cards, shopping and traveling.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday January 31 at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Revs. Jerry Crouse and Marianne Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Sunday. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Born on May 14, 1920 in Cropper, Ky. Hester was the daughter of Howard and Pearl Phillips Harlow.
She married Lewis A. Herron on May 17, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Stanley E. Huffer on December 16, 1972 and he preceded her in death in 1989. She then married Harold V. Dailey on May 14, 2004 and he survives.
Survivors include, her husband; brothers, Dr. Howard R. (Connie) Harlow of Maggie Valley, NC and Philip A. (Sandy) Harlow of Columbus; a sister, Ramona K. Harlow(Robert Cason) of Columbus; nieces, Melinda A. (Carl) Mimms of Waynesville, NC and Vickie Lynn (Mike) Fisher of Columbus; nephews, Jeff Harlow of Sylva, NC and Phil Jr. (Susan) Harlow of Louisville, Ky; great nieces, Shannon and Kelly Mimms of Waynesville, NC and Holly Fischer of Columbus; great nephews, Nathan Mimms of Waynesville,NC, Zachary Fischer of Columbus and William Hipple-Harlow of Louisville, Ky; stepchildren, Shirley Ray, David and Pam Dailey and Dennis and Paula Dailey all of Columbus; four step- grandchildren and five great step- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lloyd E. Harlow and half sister, Leona Nading.
