Ida Doris Watson, 72 of Hope died Friday June 8, 2012 at Columbus
Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and a member of Hope Community
Church Of God.
The funeral will be at 5:00p.m. Sunday at Hope Communtiy Church
Of God with Mrs.Watson's nephew Rev. Gerald Hancock officiating.Calling hours
be Sunday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until service time. An another service will
be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Hickey & Son Funeral Home in Monticello,Ky with
calling on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Dishman
Cemetery in Slick Ford, Ky. Norman Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Born in Wayne County, Ky. on May 1,1940 Mrs.Watson was the daughter
of Mert and Florence Dishman Hancock. She first married Edward "Doc" Stinson and
he preceded her in death. She then married Roy Watson and he also preceded her
in death.
Survivors include son Jimmie Stinson of Hope and a daughter Becky Lawson
of Shelbyville; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers Guy and Earl Hancock;
sisters Gladys Roy, Lois Piercy, Eva Jones , Chris Neat and Bonnie Claywell.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by a son Donnie Lee Stinson; parents; brothers
Fred and Carl Hancock and sisters Glenna and Bessie Hancock and Hazel Fulton.
