Ileen Mae Crouse, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Major Hospital.
She had been a teacher and had received her MBA in education. She was a member of West Street United Methodist Church in Shelbyville.
Ileen enjoyed reading, sewing, quilts, crafting, and her doll collection. She really enjoyed time spent with her grandkids.
Born on July 14, 1937 at home in Wells County, IN, Ileen was the daughter of Basil and Opal Baker Stephens. She married Reverend Jerry D. Crouse on August 24, 1958 in Hartford City, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2019.
Survivors include children, Cherie (Joel) Wesley of Plainfield, Tim (Geania) Crouse of Indianapolis, and Charlie Crouse of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Matt, Kayla, and Kristin Wesley, Katelyn and Jacob Crouse, Stephenie Andis, Jade, Emerald, Sapphire, and Opal Crouse, Natalia and Zaneon Meinhart, Jaqueline Felling, Jordan, Stewart, Alex, and Max Crouse, Brittany Bandy, and Billy Stevens; and great-grandchildren, Blake and Liam Andis, Aubrey and Lincoln Bandy; and Cassandra Hein; and siblings, Betty Jean Ferree of Fairmount, IN, Dale (Carol) Stephens of Ossian, IN, and Gerald Stephens of Upland, IN.
Ileen is preceded in death by her husband; son, Philip Crouse; brother, Billy Stephens, and granddaughter, Natasha Crouse.
A private family graveside service will be held at Hope Moravian Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
